As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of large-scale chip seal projects. This includes ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our and our customers constraints. A key aspect of this role involves working closely with subcontractors, coordinating their activities, and maintaining clear communication to ensure project goals are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction concepts, leadership abilities, and the experience to manage complex, multi-faceted projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction concepts, leadership abilities, and the experience to manage complex, multi-faceted projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage crews, both in-house and subcontracted, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications
- Act as a point of contact for subcontractors, coordinating their scope of work and ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and quality standards
- Track and maintain schedules for both in-house crews and subcontractors to optimize project workflows and meet deadlines
- Ensure subcontractors comply with safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies while on-site
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address challenges, solve problems, and adjust project plans as necessary
- Track and report on daily project progress, including material usage, labor hours, subcontractor performance, and equipment utilization
- Maintain clear and open communication with subcontractors, ensuring any changes or issues are addressed promptly and effectively
- Coordinate logistics for materials, equipment, and labor to ensure timely delivery and availability on large-scale projects
- Manage the resolution of any conflicts or issues between subcontractors and in-house crews to maintain project flow and maintain positive working relationships
- BS - preferably in Construction Management, Industrial Projects or equivalent work experience
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage both in-house and subcontracted teams
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, regulations, and ethical practices
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus
